Transcript – Pulling Rope & Wire Through a Cable Tray
Hello, my name is Junior Luensman, I’m an electrician with Local 405. Today I’m going to show you a job tip on how to pull a pull rope through a cable tray using a tag line.
First of all, take your rope. Use a carabineer. Ahead of time, I had attached some eyebolts throughout the cable tray and strung a jet line through the eyebolts so that I could attach the pull rope to that.
Along with that, on each of the pull rope, I tied an eye on there to attach the rope to. I hook the rope through the tag line and have the guy at the other end pull the rope down using the tag line.
You will notice, as he got to that end, on your end there will be another eye so that there is an existing eye at your end to tie the next rope to when pulling the next cable.
Thank you for your time. I hope this will save you time on the job in the future.
