Journeyman Mentor of the Year – 2015, Winston Likert – IBEW Local 17
Congratulations to Winston Likert of Local 17 in Detroit. Likert was named our 2015 Journeyman Mentor of the Year.
Likert has risen through the ranks (somewhat literally) of the Local 17 Tree Trimmers and is now the director of the Tree Trimmers Apprentice Program, teaching future tree trimmers about safety and skill on the job.
An avid outdoorsmen, Likert knew that tree trimming was his calling from the moment he first looked up and saw an IBEW tree trimmer high above the Earth. He has taken his enthusiasm for life and poured it into everything he does for the IBEW and for his family.
Thank you, Winston Likert, for your exceptional service as a Journeyman Mentor and congratulations on being named the 2015 Journeyman Mentor of the Year!
