“IBEW Strong”, a new series from HourPower, brings you stories on construction projects that celebrate gender inclusion, diversity, and best practices from all across the country.

In this inaugural edition, we sit down with two Massachusetts-based sister locals to discuss how they worked together in order to win a unique project at the center of Worcester’s redevelopment efforts.

Worcester’s IBEW Local 96 Business Manager, Tommy Maloney, and Boston’s IBEW Local 103 Business Manager, Lou Antonellis, detail their Regional Approach to winning work; Polar Park, the new home of Worcester Red Sox, the Triple-A affiliate of the storied Boston Red Sox was the first endeavor in the partnership.

…we discuss the challenges, the excitement and the details a project like this brings to Worcester, and the undeniable benefits of partnering their locals together to work as one.
