Chase Blackburn didn’t always know he’d end up in the electrical trade. Originally pursuing a degree in computer science, he realized quickly that life behind a screen wasn’t for him—he needed something hands-on, challenging, and constantly changing. That journey led him to IBEW Local 453, where he found not just a career, but a calling.
With a natural talent for leadership, a commitment to showing up, and a quiet determination to always do his best, Chase has become a standout apprentice. Whether it’s applying technical skills in the field, supporting local union events, or simply lifting the energy of a classroom, Chase leaves a mark on everyone around him.
In recognizing him as the 2025 Apprentice of the Year, we celebrate more than just hard work—we celebrate potential, integrity, and the future of the IBEW.
