The 2018 Construction and Maintenance conference was more than just a big stage with bright lights, and packed seats. It was about rolling up your sleeves and getting down to business. The general sessions were the main event, and the breakout sessions gave attendees chances to gain extra value from the specialized education.

The first event, the Outside Construction and Line Clearance Tree Trimming meeting, discussed growing the IBEW workforce. Mid-term elections are always important, and the Legal Issues: Elections Have Consequences workshop really stressed this. The Electrical Training Alliance took full advantage of their time at C&M and held two separate workshops about reaching the next generation of workers. New programs were introduced in the Energy and Storage and Microgrid Training certificate session. There were also business development workshops that focused on the effectiveness of project information resource search engines.

Stay tuned for more to come from C&M 2018.
