Transcript – How To Wire Check a Motor
“Hi, I’m John Candelo with Kansas City, MO Local 124. Today I am going to show you how to wire check a motor that has already been terminated.
What we are going to need is a digital multi-meter. I have already taken the liberty of hooking the leads up across the phases of the motor at the disconnect. Now, the next thing we will do is turn the meter on to the voltage AC setting. Then you’ll have your tool buddy on the other end and give the motor a spin. You’ll see that the voltage jumps and you will be sure you are on the correct wire.
I hope this saves you time and trouble in the field.”
