Being able to connect with people from all walks of life has always been a skill Rachel Hienz has carried in her toolbag. Building rapport with her first year electrical apprentices is why she is so highly regarded as an IBEW instructor. That, and her dedication and enthusiasm is infectious! With a masters degree in adult education, Rachel is constantly taking steps to better herself in her vocation so that she can continue to push the IBEW forward.
Rachel understands that everyone learns differently. That’s why she’s able to adjust her style of teaching to make sure each apprentice under her guidance has the tools and understanding to be successful in the field.
Although Rachel does not strive for recognition, her passion and dedication as an IBEW instructor must be shared. That is why Rachel was nominated and selected as the 2022 IBEW Hour Power Instructor of the Year!
